Wirral Children Centres – Children With Additional Needs or SEND

If you have a child with additional needs or Special Education Needs and/or Disability (SEND), you are welcome to come across to any of our sessions at the Children’s Centre. However, we understand that this can seem daunting at times for our families, therefore we have specialist sessions on for Children with Additional Needs.

Pre-Portage Sessions

These sessions are designed for our families who are awaiting intervention from our Portage team. A member of the Portage team will be on hand to answer any questions you might have and support sensory play for your child.

Sensory Play

Come along to our sensory sessions! A darkened calming environment bursting with lights and sensory opportunities to help stimulate your child’s sensory development. Did you know – you can also book out our sensory room for your own personal use! Just contact your local Children’s Centre to find out how.

Rainbows

Come and join our Rainbow sessions for children aged 0 – 8 years, with social or communication difficulties, or autism. Siblings are also welcome to attend. These sessions are supported by Autism Together.
