With a whopping 94 in total, the Spring term Exchanges were really well attended. Feedback was fantastic and the half day sessions were clearly of great use to our Wirral SENCOs working hard to support the young SEND population in Wirral. There were 3 presentations:
Jo Watts, Senior Commissioner for Mental Health & Isabell Sutherland Wirral’s Parenting Lead came to talk about the Neuro- developmental pathway review and offered assurances that the SENCOs views had been incorporated in the review and deemed to be really insightful.
Ana Stokes, Specialist ASC teacher outlined the role of the team and the many ways they are able to support Wirral schools.
Sally Tittle gave an update on the Local Offer, the projects bringing about some significant changes and shared information to support the SENCOs in their day to day duties.
60% of the attendees completed a feedback form to help shape future training topics, guest speakers and flag up any areas they’d like more help with. The responses were collated and evaluated.
