Shaftesbury Youth Club

SYC provides high quality services and open access sports facilities
to engage with local youths/families as follows:

  • Disadvantaged young people (8-21 years) can access the club from
9am – 9pm 6 days per week and Sundays up to 5pm

SYC provides high quality services and open access sports facilities
to engage with local youths/families as follows:

  • SYC offers a diverse range of recreational sport/personal
development activities using our indoor sports hall, and outdoor
facilities (2 Astro pitches/ 6 acres of grass pitches)
  • SYC has a multi-purpose activity zone (table tennis, other sports
offered), educational computer suite, social space, cafe, rooms for
one-to-one/group sessions/homework use
  • Weekly Young Persons Disability Group
  • Facilities are available for community use/hire, our large Astro
pitch is offered free, on occasions, to local schools.
  • Children’s Allotment/Memorial garden
  • Open access Saturday pm activity/sports session
  • Affiliated to Cheshire FA, and in partnership with Tranmere Rovers FC
  • SYC has a full football programme every weekend with 14 under 13
 year old teams and 3 open age
  • Youth Forum – young people have the opportunity to influence what
happens in SYC through participation and engagement

Method of Referral: SYC is an open Youth Club therefore there is no need for referral except for the youth club for young people with an additional need which operates on a Saturday only. This then is by either referral from another organisation such as schools, Social care or by self referral
