Riverside Primary School
Riverside Primary School has resourced provision which meets the needs of children or young people usually between the ages of 4 and 7 years, who are displaying Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The base runs along “nurture group” principles and aims to help children develop the necessary skills to access mainstream education. The length of time children stay in the base is usually between 2 and 4 terms.
Entry to this base is via a panel meeting co-ordinated by the Behaviour Support Manager in liaison with the Headteacher of the school, without the need for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
Entry requirements are detailed in the Education Inclusion Bases Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties which can be found here
