Daisy and Jake Day Nursery is a nursery chain with five settings across the Wirral and a sixth to be opened in Little Sutton in September. The nurseries are all rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Daisy and Jake has a strong Outdoor Ethos which supports children’s exploration of the natural world and promotes a good understanding of how to look after and preserve the environment. Children take part in a Forest school and have allocated Garden time. Children thrive in the purpose built nurseries and gardens which are designed to maximise children’s learning and development and their emotional well-being. We have muddy kitchens across all of our sites and many of our gardens have bug hotels and wild time approaches to play.

At the heart of our nurseries are the children and families that we look after. We provide children with a designated key person so that they develop attachments and have someone they know they can always depend on.  We have termly parents evenings where children’s learning, progress, development and interests are discussed and practitioners and parents work closely together to promote children’s best interests.  Our online learning journeys provide visual observations of what children have been doing during their time at nursery.

Daisy and Jake will be offering 30 hours free childcare for eligible parents of 3 year old children from September 2017. Our preschool rooms focus a lot on supporting children to be “school Ready” and independent. We offer different activities such as Spanish Lessons and Exercise activities daily to enhance their skills and we also teach them basic first aid training too.
