Bridge College is a non-residential specialist further education college. We meet the needs of students from 16 to the age of 25 years, developing skills, independence and confidence for each student who may have learning difficulties and disabilities, complex needs, communication disorders and autism.

With our new state of the art campus, we have access to a wide range of leisure and community facilities in Manchester as well as parks and open spaces. This means our students can learn in lots of different settings and develop the skills needed for life as an active and valued young adult in your community. Students can experience our hydrotherapy pool, our sensory rooms and our rebound room within a wide programme of activities.

The effective multi-disciplinary assessment informs the young person’s learning programme and identifies the appropriate learning environment and support strategies.  This actively enables the young person to engage in a range of challenging and fun sessions.  Schools. Parents/carers and other agencies are invited to path planning meetings to support transition and consistency from college to home environments.

 Our belief is that everyone should have the chance to achieve their potential, there are no exceptions.

Method of Referral: Parents, carers, students and professionals are welcome to contact Bridge College directly or through the Together Trust’s main reception. Sometimes applying for a place at a specialist college can be hard because lots of questions are asked and you will be asked to consider alternatives – even if you don’t think they are right for you and are not your first choice. Don’t let that put you off – ask for help from your Connexions Advisor – and of course you can contact us at Bridge College too.

Parking/Travel Information: Bridge College is based in a suburb of East Manchester at Openshaw M11 2GR. Only a short distance from Manchester’s city centre. We are ideally placed to offer a huge range of opportunities for students from our purpose built, specialist SEND setting. We have excellent access to public transport, our own small fleet of minibuses and a number of parking bays including designated disabled parking.
