Moderate Learning Difficulties Special Schools meet the needs of those pupils who have found mainstream education too difficult because they learn slowly. Class sizes are smaller than in mainstream schools and the curriculum is delivered at a pace that is more suitable to this group’s learning needs.

Specific Learning Difficulties Special Schools are for primary pupils who have severe difficulties learning to read, and often have some other difficulties associated with their learning problem.
