Did you know that the National Autistic Society and Marks & Spencer have put together a fabulous range of autism friendly school uniform? It caters for children from age 2 to 16 and is designed to make dressing for school easier, quicker and more comfortable. Acting on feedback from the children themselves and you as Parents and Carers here are the areas they’ve improved:
- Pull up trousers
- No fiddly zips or buttons
- Soft brushed waistbands
- The top 4 buttons have been replaced with a hidden panel of soft velcro
- Polo shirts have a 2 piece collar so they can be worn with a tie for a smarter appearance
- No itchy fabrics
- Care labels have been removed
- No uncomfortable seams or labels
